Bluegrass in the Arctic


This weekend is the “Bettles Lodge Bush Bash” featuring two local bluegrass-style bands: Sweating Honey and Cold Country. For me, there is something particularly special about listening to bluegrass music where you don’t expect it — such as in the Arctic Circle. Inspired by the scenery, it’s so interesting to see how this form of Americana becomes adapted locally. In this case, becoming Alaska-style Bluegrass.
