the urban in alaska

urban in alaska is a social movement dedicated to both creating public discourse about urban alaska as well as intervening into the urban environment in order to allow residents to re-think their everyday experiences.  our interventions are very much influenced by the work of the situationists international and the readings and writings of flaneurs throughout time.

fairview residents work to re-imageine their neighborhood

pop-up museums and “my anchorage” walks

bring life to public spaces
